Our school had planned a trip to holy city Amritsar and
Jalandhar also. For this trip we were ready at 7 am by taking our breakfast at
home and moved to school for trip. We started our journey. Firstly, we were
taken to Asia’s largest University Lovely Professional University. Our German
friends were really impressed when the officials of the university personally
welcomed us. I must say it is a huge campus .They guided us around the whole
campus. Then we departed for Pushpa Gujral Science City. We explored the different
sections of the place-space, bio science, weather. We were shown a film based
on saving water inside a Dome theatre. By then, we all were feeling hungry.
After lunch we went for boating for amusement and fun. Then we saw a short
interesting 3D movie; weather changing room that demonstrated the diversion in
weather. After leaving science city we had our next stop at ‘Haveli’ for a
cultural program, where we saw puppet show, magic show, Punjabi Cultural dance
and some of our German guests enjoyed a camel ride too. After the dinner at
Haveli, we returned to LPU as we were accommodated there. I am really thankful
to my school for this opportunity.

I couldn’t sleep for the whole night in excitement at the
thought of visiting Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar. I have heard a lot about its huge
campus and the dynamic crowd. I was out of bed early. Me, Anki and Laura (My
German Guests) rushed to school where our other friends were gathered for the
journey. We started off at right time. As I had heard, LPU was even more
spreaded. The officials of the university gave us a warm welcome. My partner
was even more excited than me. I could sense her enthusiasm. Then for the
exposure we were divided into two groups and were guided accordingly. Well, it
was a good experience all together. Then we left for the Pushpa Gujral Science
city. We explored the place, watched a movie based on saving water at Dome
Theatre. Then after lunch we were taken to see short interesting 3-D film.
After that we were explained about the changing of weather and how the weather
is forecasted. For amusement, we went for boating. We were tired till that time
and headed off for ‘Haveli’ where we relaxed by seeing puppet show, magic show
and some of my German friends enjoyed Camel ride. We also watched traditional
dance show. The dinner at Haveli was undoubtedly amazing. After the dinner, we
were back to the University where we were accommodated us with rooms. I hope to
have another beautiful day tomorrow.
