After previous tiring day, we had to wake up early, had
breakfast in the University Canteen. There we cherished breads, cutlets with
coffee. We headed towards the Golden Temple, Amritsar. We reached Amritsar
after 3 hours. We told Germans about the ritual of removing our foot wears and
covered our heads before entering Golden temple. Germans were astonished to see
a building layered with gold in middle of a water body. They all went around
the whole temple and after sometime we all gathered. We said our prayers and
had ‘Langar’ in the ‘Langar Bhawan’. As it was traditional Indian food some of
my German friends couldn’t eat it. So we took them to Demines. They had their
meals and then we left back for Sangrur. Nearly at 8 o’clock. We reached Ratna
Resorts, Dhuri, just a few kilometers from Sangrur. Dinner was already arranged
there for us. We danced and had our dinner. It was a nice resort. Soon we left
for our home.
